AbstractIn cases of craniocerebral trauma there may be primary and secondary cerebral lesions. The principal goal of treatment is to minimize secondary cerebral trauma by optimized therapy. In the primary treatment phase monitoring of vital signs (blood pressure and respiration) is of crucial importance. CT diagnosis is followed by treatment of any increase in intracranial pressure by relief of hematomas, CSF drainage and appropriate intensive care measures.
