AbstractNeurologic manifestations are infrequent in infectious mononucleosis and specially hypoglossal nerve involvement is very rare. To the best of our knowledge only 6 cases have been previously reported. We describe herein the case of a 20-years-old man who presented an unilateral hypoglossal nerve palsy secondary to infectious mononucleosis. He was treated i.v. steroids without recovery, but the palsy resolved spontaneously 2 months after the onset.
