AbstractTakotsubo cardiomyopathy has been described in patients undergoing liver transplantation. However, the ideal anesthetic management of patients with a history of takotsubo cardiomyopathy remains unclear, especially in patients undergoing liver transplantation. We describe the use of dexmedetomidine in a patient with a history of takotsubo cardiomyopathy undergoing living-donor liver transplantation.
