AbstractChronic disseminated intravascular coagulation (DIC) is a rare coagulation problem usually associated with malignant diseases. The present report concerns a patient with chronic immune thrombocytopenic purpura (ITP) who developed chronic DIC which responded to low-molecular-weight heparin (LMWH) therapy.
