    AbstractHome care and hospice nurses provide invaluable care for patients with Alzheimer's Disease and related disorders. Often these patients have advanced disease and may be approaching the end of life. This article describes a palliative care approach to providing comprehensive assessment, care planning, and interventions enhancing the functioning and quality of life for both the patient and family coping with this illness.
