AbstractWe describe 3 cases of antibiotic-induced hemolysis associated with cefotetan prophylaxis during cesarean delivery. Each of the 3 patients showed development of significant anemia with documented cefotetan-induced hemolysis. When postpartum anemia is associated with antibiotic use, immune hemolytic anemia should be considered and included in the differential diagnosis.
