AbstractThe administration of inhaled NO in the management of pulmonary hypertension and respiratory failure is an important development in pediatric critical care. The long-term effects of this therapy are yet to be understood. An appreciation for the potential hazards and the development of accurate and safe delivery systems are paramount to the successful application of this new therapy.
