AbstractA case of bilateral hearing loss following an otherwise uncomplicated spinal anaesthesia with bupivacaine is presented. It is suggested that a drop in intracranial pressure played a principal role in the development of this complication. Unless specifically sought for, minor auditory losses following spinal anaesthesia may be overlooked.
