AbstractFlexible and rigid bronchoscopy are the thoracic surgeon's stethoscope. These tools are vital to evaluating, diagnosing, and treating a tracheobronchial pathologic condition. Airway dilation, used appropriately and selectively, is an effective method of treating various tracheal pathologic conditions.
