    AbstractNumerous health care resources are utilized to treat low back pain (LBP) resulting from degenerative disc disease (DDD). Most patients with disc degeneration remain asymptomatic, and the degree of disc degeneration does not correlate with pain severity, making diagnosis and effective treatment challenging.
