AbstractIn 100 patients with kyphosis who received wedge-osteotomy, Cobb's degree greater than 90 degrees was noted in 44, of whom 44 patients showed radiologically aortic calcification. Follow-up for more than 1.5 years showed an average correction degree of 57.2 degrees and an average correction rate of 77.2%. Body height increased on the average by 16 cm. We analyzed biomechanics of this operation.
