    AbstractA 56-year-old woman presented with retrograde amnesia and confusion at the Emergency Department after falling down the stairs. Physical examination revealed a bilateral periorbital hematoma (raccoon eyes) and bilateral retroauricular ecchymosis, both strongly indicative of a basilar skull fracture.
