AbstractWe present two cases of young women admitted to the hospital due to clinical and electrocardiographic features of ST elevation acute coronary syndrome. Coronary angiography revealed normal coronary arteries and echocardiography revealed typical for apical ballooning syndrome pictures, which gradually disappeared. Due to these findings the diagnosis of transient left ventricular apical ballooning syndrome was established. In one patient thyreotoxicosis was also detected.
