AbstractRecords of cardiac arrest are not usually made, or are incomplete, and should contain more information. This study aimed at applying a tool developed to record in-hospital cardiac arrest. The tool was previously validated by experts, and then applied by registered nurses in six wards. Fifty-four cases of in-hospital cardiac arrest were recorded, and over 90% positive answers, relative to evaluation criteria, were obtained. In the analysis of entry per data set, the average was higher than 70%. It was concluded that the tool supplied the needs of cardiac arrest recording for this hospital.
