AbstractBiopsies will supply the best answers when the clinician submits a well-defined diagnostic problem to his pathologist before the biopsy is done, when he is aware of the limitations of the biopsy technique, when the pathologist makes optimal use of the available techniques as well as expertise and knows the limitations of a diagnosis based on morphology alone, and when treating physicians and pathologists keep up close communication before, during and after diagnostic procedures.
