AbstractA forty-two-year-old woman was admitted to the department of burns in Copenhagen, two days after application of 15 freshly sliced cloves of garlic fixed to the left knee with film for three hours. This was done to relieve chronic intra-articular pain. Examination showed a 2% blistering erythematous rash mimicking second degree burns. At 14 days 0.33% had not healed spontaneously. On the 24th day necrectomy and split skin transplantation had to be performed.
