AbstractA case of mitral valve aneurysm is presented in which infective endocarditis of the mitral valve was complicated by aneurysm formation 6 weeks later. The presence of mitral valve aneurysm was suspected on transthoracic echocardiography and confirmed by transesophageal echocardiography.
