AbstractPulmonary artery sling with concomitant funnel-shaped tracheal stenosis is a rare but potentially lethal congenital condition. Conventional surgical division and reanastomosis of the aberrant left pulmonary artery to the main pulmonary artery carries a high risk of postoperative ventilatory difficulty from an uncorrected tracheal stenosis. A primary tracheal approach via a right thoracotomy without pulmonary bypass is described.
