AbstractAn unusual complication after radial artery cannulation is described. Due to difficult fixation the distal part of the catheter broke loose, and was captured intravascularly. This complication has only been reported once before. The present case did not lead to surgical intervention. A suggestion is made as to, how to avoid this complication.
