AbstractPseudoaneurysms of the common carotid arteries are rare and have been associated with both penetrating and blunt trauma. Intervention is warranted in most cases to avert the sequelae of rupture or embolization. Treatments are tailored to the specific patient on a case by case basis. This report describes an unusual case of common carotid artery pseudoaneurysm after minor blunt trauma and reviews the diagnostic and treatment modalities available.Copyright © 2013 Elsevier Inc.
