AbstractAlthough traditionally seen in middle aged and older people Type 2 diabetes, which is associated with obesity, poor diet and lack of exercise, is increasingly being diagnosed in children and young people who are overweight. Studies from around the world point to the usefulness of diet and exercise regimens in preventing onset of this illness.
