AbstractBacterial meningitis usually presents with cerebrospinal pleocytosis with neutrophil predominance. Cases without pleocytosis are known from the literature. A case of group B streptococcal endocarditis with concomitant meningitis without cerebrospinal pleocytosis is described in a 40 year old woman. Finding the cerebrospinal fluid normocellular might mislead the physician and cause a delay in treatment.
