    AbstractMelioidosis is an infection caused by Burkholderia pseudomallei. It is an important human pathogen in the tropical area. The clinical manifestations are protean with multisystem involvement. Septic arthritis and prostatic abscess are rare but well-recognized forms of the disease. Herein we report a case of melioidosis presenting with a rare combination of septic arthritis, prostatic abscess, and septicemia.
