AbstractStrongyloidiasis is a nematode infection that can persist asymptomatically for years. Pathognomonic skin manifestation is the larva currens. A human immunodeficiency virus-infected patient native from an endemic area presented with pruritus, an urticarial serpiginous rash and eosinophilia. The histology was not helpful. Strongyloidiasis was confirmed on the basis of stool and serum examination. He was treated successfully with Ivermectin.
