AbstractThe field of Feminist Ethics can be applied to pain management to understand the perspective of both the patient and nurse. Three concepts derived from Feminist Ethics are applied to the care of people in pain including relationship, compassion, and respect. Through narratives of patients, nurses, and family caregivers this paper explores the experience of pain.
