    AbstractWe present a patient with thyroid cancer, who developed respiratory acidosis, tachycardia and hyperthermia during isoflurane anesthesia. Malignant hyperthermia was suspected on the basis of clinical manifestation and laboratory finding. With early diagnosis and treatment the patient survived the episode.
