AbstractThe epidural-sacral anesthesia was used in 242 patients operated upon for different forms of acute paraproctitis. No complications resulting from the anesthesia were noted. The incidence of failures in performing epidural-sacral anesthesia was 3.6%. The epidural-sacral anesthesia has advantages over other kinds of anesthesia, is safe and not technically difficult and practically has no contraindications.
