AbstractEvery year in the UK road traffic incidents cause 320,000 injuries--40,000 of which are serious--and over 3,200 deaths. The public, patients and relatives expect nurses to be able to assist and provide first aid at the scene of any emergency. As a healthcare professional you should therefore ensure you are up to date with first aid skills.
