AbstractThe impact of postoperative pain can be a devastating experience. While there has been a wealth of research to evaluate the effectiveness of pain relief, relatively few studies have considered how pain affects people. A study was therefore undertaken to explore the effect of postoperative pain on patient outcomes following major gynaecological surgery.
