AbstractThe role of probiotics in the prevention and treatment of antibiotic-associated diarrhea, Clostridium difficile diarrhea, and recurrent C. difficile diarrhea is reviewed. Various probiotics have variable efficacy. More studies are needed to define further their efficacies, roles, and indications.
