AbstractVasoconstrictors are clinically used as adjuvants to local anesthetics to improve anesthetic action and to minimize local bleeding. Accidental intravascular injection or rapid systemic absorption of vasoconstrictors can induce a number of potentially life-threatening circulatory risks, which are described in this paper.
