AbstractA 63-year old man suffering from bilateral leg pain was admitted to our hospital with an occlusion of the infrarenal abdominal aorta. A bifurcated dacron graft was implanted and a histological examination of the thrombotic material was performed. Atypical cells were detected in the thrombus leading to an investigation of the thoracic aorta showing an unclear mass in the aortic arch. The tumor was resected and the aorta replaced with a dacron graft. Histology revealed a primary sarcoma. The patient is doing well 6 months after operation.
