AbstractThe science of resuscitation has had significant and meaningful advances over the past fifty years, with resultant improvements in outcomes for both adult and pediatric populations. This article aims to describe some of the recent advances in pediatric resuscitation, including aspects of care affecting the management of cardiac arrest and sepsis, and to give a glimpse into technologies and methodologies that may be utilized to improve outcomes for children in the near future.
