    AbstractChronic pain often presents following a traumatic event, or alternatively, patients attribute pain to a trauma, whether this link is established or not. The psychological impact of trauma can significantly complicate the treatment of chronic pain. This article aims to review the known interactions between trauma and chronic pain. Following this review, it discusses therapeutic avenues suited to these complex situations, underlining the specific contributions of the different members of a multidisciplinary team.
