AbstractA case is presented of a 60 year old woman with severe headache after spinal anaesthesia. She did not respond to fluid, rest in bed and analgesics, and was therefore treated with an epidural blood-patch. Immediately after the epidural needle was withdrawn the patient developed tonic convulsions for 10-15 seconds. After regaining consciousness she had amnesia but no neurological sequelae. The EEG was normal and the patient had no history of previous convulsions.
