AbstractInvestigation has indicated that the main cause of blood iron deficiency is insufficient dietary intake of iron, vitamins, and proteins. The comprehensive examination of all iron metabolism-associated indices may identify iron deficiency, hematological parameteres being much more preferred. Iron drugs in combination with other trace elements, vitamins, and amino acids should be prescribed in this abnormality.
