AbstractA review of the literature on pancreatic trauma and its treatment in the light of recent experience is presented. The incidence, mechanism, classification, diagnosis, treatment and complications of pancreatic trauma are discussed. A case of pancreatic transection after blunt abdominal trauma is described.
