AbstractPsychiatric liaison activities and intervention on a burn unit are described. The authors review the psychiatrist's interventions with regard to unhealthy staff denial; educating staff about psychiatric issues; facilitating improved staff-patient communication; and helping nurses manage patients' inappropriate sexual behavior.
