AbstractIntraosseous infusions are commonly used in pediatric emergencies. Although this technique is often lifesaving, significant complications can develop from incorrect needle placement. Current methods of evaluating needle position rely on the operator's experience with the procedure. We describe the use of a miniature C-arm imaging device to accurately confirm proper needle placement.
