AbstractIn a previous study the authors proposed a law of visco-elasticity with three parameters to describe the influence on blood of a forced test according Couette's schedule. The changes produced by different plasma substitutes are studied under equilibrium conditions and under altered conditions. Marked changes were noted in the various parameters. It would appear that these changes are related to the cohesion of erythrocyte rouleaux.
