    AbstractThis case report describes the diagnosis of Chagas myocarditis in a patient from Honduras who presented with syncope. The discussion summarizes the pathophysiology of cardiac Chagas disease. Acute, latent, and chronic Chagas myocarditis are described. The role of CMR in diagnosing Chagas myocarditis is discussed.
