    Case Reports

[A subglutaeal abscess as a possible result of pudendal anaesthesia (author's transl)].

    • V Jalůvka.
    • Geburtsh Frauenheilk. 1978 Sep 1; 38 (9): 758-61.

AbstractDescribed is the subglutaeal abscess of a 17-year old primigravida that may have been the result of pudendal anaesthesia. This has to be looked upon as an extremely rare and unavoidable complication of obstetric regional anaesthesia. On the basis of known cases of subglutaeal abscess, it cannot be concluded that pudendal anaesthesia should be relinquished.
