ObjectiveTo describe a case of vasitis nodosum causing spontaneous recanalization of the vas deferens.MethodsHerein we describe a patient who had undergone vasectomy 9 years earlier. A nodule in the vas deferens arising from granulomatous reaction had progressed to vasitis nodosum, causing spontaneous recanalization of the vas deferens.ResultsVasitis nodosum may be more frequent than it is considered to be although clinical problems rarely arise.ConclusionConfusion may arise in distinguishing the histological features of vasitis nodosum from those of adenocarcinomatous neoplasia. Although rarely, its growth may cause recanalization of the vas deferens in vasectomized patients.
