AbstractCardiac stimulators and defibrillators dispose of diagnostic capabilities. Home monitoring permits to have information about the cardiac rhythm of the patient and about the function of the pacemaker or the defibrillator. Technical aspects, safety and legal issues of home monitoring are discussed in this article.
