AbstractThis study was undertaken to determine the efficacy of intrathecal baclofen therapy in patients who suffer spasticity after a stroke. This case involves a 64-yr-old woman whose thrombotic strokes resulted in severe left-upper and lower-limb spasticity. The patient achieved substantial functional gains as well as improved ease of care, quality of life, and cessation of narcotic use.
