AbstractWe present a highly unusual case of massive pulmonary embolism with secondary paradoxical systemic embolisation that was successfully resuscitated with veno-arterial extracorporeal membrane oxygenation (ECMO). This enabled subsequent successful bridging to pulmonary embolectomy.
