    AbstractNurses are subject to a variety of work-related stressors. Recent reorganisation in the NHS has led to job insecurity. Nurses have developed a variety of strategies for coping with stress. Meeting training needs, protecting time for discussion, and improvements in two-way communication help alleviate stress.
