    AbstractUsing tools developed by NCQA, Rand, and other institutions, health plans and providers can take an aggressive stance toward managing hypertension. This effort has led to gains in blood pressure control in some populations, greater recognition of the importance of controlling hypertension, and increased attention to processes that promote higher-quality health care.
