AbstractThere is good evidence in favor of the use of oxygen savers in patients with portable oxygen, but not for their use in conjunction with fixed oxygen installations in the home. Individual assessment of efficacy is vital. With the use of savers, the true total cost of therapy seems unlikely to fall and might even rise.
