AbstractBasal cell carcinoma of the scrotum is a rarely occurring lesion that must be differentiated from the more common squamous cell carcinoma, as well as chronic dermatitis or chronic fungal infection. We report a case of basal cell carcinoma of the scrotum and review the literature. This case serves as a reminder that these lesions do occur on the scrotal skin and that, unlike squamous cell carcinomas, they are curable with simple wide excision.
